|Joyce is a certified group fitness instructor with a background in dance. She holds a variety of certifications which include: AFAA, ACE, TurboKick and Keiser Indoor Cycling, allowing her to teach multi-level classes including: Kickboxing, Indoor Cycling, Bootcamp classes, Fitball, and Total Body Conditioning. She has been an instructor for over 9 years and a “gym rat” for over 18 years. Her classes are designed around some of today’s hottest music, while her energy and enthusiasm will encourage you to go to your “edge” and get you to your goals of overall health and appearance!
|Cecile is the newest of the kickboxing instructors, recently discovering her enthusiasm for boxing and conditioning at Shut Up and Box. She is excited about taking all that she has learned from SUAB's experienced trainers to create an invigorating workout. When asked what her goals are as an instructor, Cecile said, "It would be great to encourage other members to work hard, push themselves, and find that we're all family here. So, wrap your hands, put on your gloves, and let's have some fun!"
|When getting serious about getting in shape a couple years ago, Nikki found kickboxing to be the perfect fit. The comradery with classmates when working out next to each other helps to push her and achieve goals never thought possible. “There’s nothing like punching a heavy bag to release stress”. Now she hopes to share those experiences with others by pushing them to their limits all the while having fun, of course.
|Sherry Weimert is a mother of three and has been active all of her adult life -- biking, running, and kickboxing are her favorite athletics, but throw music and rhythm in the mix and it's complete! When she discovered Al Irish's Intensity Class at least 10 years ago, she found the best of both worlds and has been hooked ever since. As a result of everything she has learned through Al's fitness leadership, both mentally and physically. She hopes to motivate others to challenge and push themselves harder than they ever have before to achieve their personal goals!"
Alison has always loved being active, growing up training in Tae Kwon Do and Dance. She learned the importance of strength training while recovering from surgery, and discovered her love of hip hop dance as an undergraduate and MBA student at Vanderbitt University in Nashville, TN, where she performed and choreographed in a hip hop performance group for 5 years. Alison is excited to share her passion for dance, cardio, and strength training with others, helping them reach their fitness goals while just as importantly having fun.
is a licensed Zumba instructor that loves to shake some booty in and outside of the gym! She has been instructing group fitness for over 3 years in Mid-Michigan, pushing members to their limits and to reach their fitness goals through kickboxing, weight training, plyometrics, TRX, Zumba, and resistance training. Nothing motivates her more than a big beat, knocking bags around, and watching people work hard in a intense and invigorating environment. Amanda is excited to share her enthusiasm and energy with her class all while having a blast and working hard.
